Chinchillas
Description: Chinchillas are small rodents native to the Andes mountains of South America. Known for their incredibly soft fur, they have large ears, a compact body, and a bushy tail. Chinchillas are crepuscular, meaning they are most active during dawn and dusk. They are herbivores, feeding primarily on grasses, seeds, and hay. Due to habitat loss and overhunting for their fur, chinchillas are listed as vulnerable by the IUCN. In captivity, they are popular as pets for their charming personalities and adorable appearance.
